About the Tool

It is a Library which is backed by Sauce Labs to automate mobile applications both Android & IOS It is integrated with Selenium Web Driver.

Initially the idea started from 2011 and now it is more stable and reliable Open Source Library which integrates with Selenium for Automation of Mobile Applications both on Real Devices & Simulators for both Android & IOS.
The 1st version of Appium 1.0 was released on 2014.

In the Current Software Industry there is a huge demand for Mobile application Test Engineers as the Mobile technologies are growing very fast and more number of applications are developed

Appium Supports for both Android & IOS and Works on Windows, Mac, Linux Operating systems. It also supports for Testing all kinds of Mobile apps like Native apps, Web apps & Hybrid apps. For testing Web apps on Android it supports Chrome browser and on IOS supports Safari browser.
