Minneapolis, MN – November 17, 2017 – U.S. Electronics, Inc. (USEI) announces the release of a 16MP display solution for clinical review and an 8MP display solution for surgical applications. Both products incorporate displays from LG Electronics, a global leader in flat panel display systems, and come with hardware and software for calibrating to the DICOM standard for medical image display.
Workstations demonstrating these medical imaging solutions will be on display at the annual Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) exhibition, held from November 26th. to November 30th. at the McCormick Center in Chicago, IL at booth #7910 (North Hall).

The 16MP clinical workstation is comprised of two 8MP LG monitors, with state of the art IPS LCD technology for wide viewing angle and highest picture quality. The monitors are in portrait orientation with minimal spacing between the displays due to the thin bezel design. The displays exhibit up to 350 nits brightness and contrast ratio of 1000:1 for superb image quality and can be run in DICOM preset mode, or other calibration modes. The picture-by-picture (PBP) mode allows for display of two distinct video inputs from the same or two PC sources, providing for ultimate workflow efficiency in a clinical environment.
The 8MP surgical display solution is comprised of one 8MP LG monitor, with state of the art IPS LCD technology & sRGB over 99% + Deep Red, for wide viewing angle and highest picture quality in landscape orientation. The display exhibits up to 800 nits brightness and can be run in DICOM preset mode, or other calibration modes. Video inputs include DVID, SDI, HDMI and DisplayPort. The optically bonded glass significantly reduces internal reflection between the cover glass and the LCD to enhance accuracy and improved antireflection ability enables the display to look brighter and sharper for the highest image quality. The monitor is IP 35 rated (front) and IP 32 rated (back) for protection against dust and water.

Leaders in Medical Imaging Display Technologies
Other features include improved brightness and contrast, backlight stabilization providing for DICOM calibration, display port interface, and internal power supply. A three (3) year standard warranty is also provided on each display solution.
Each workstation will be powered by an HP computer with an NVIDIA P2000 graphics card. USEI also offers XR-VUE imaging software for clinical review of DICOM images and UCAL-350 calibration software capable of calibrating any monitor to DICOM or other gamma curve settings.
